Twas' the day after Christmas, when all through the house;
Not a person was stirring, not even my spouse.
The tree is put away in it's box with care,
And I've had all the Christmas music that I can bare.
Little miss Haley is snug in her bed,
Over stimulated from sounds of toys in her head.
Ian with the stomach flu, fast a sleep in a nap.
And his wifey feeling bad, like a total sap.

yup that's all I got. And that is the last bit of Christmas spirit I have left in me. The tree is put away ( I wasted no time last night) and the Christmas music is silenced for another 11 months. I feel pretty terrible for Ian. He NEVER calls in sick. Last night, an hour before his shift was over, he came rushing through the door, sick as can be. In the 6 years we have been together, I have never seen him throw up. My poor man was throwing up every hour on the hour last night. Finally he is catching up on sleep, but my heart hurts for him. His body is sore and I am sure he is dehydrated. He is handling it like a champ though, because had it been me; I would be a HUGE baby. So needless to say, he is taking his first ever sick day tonight and not working his off duty.
Overall, we had a good Christmas. We didn't get to do dinner Christmas eve because some jerk faces stole and he was stuck on that call forever. We got to spend a little time together Christmas morning. We had a ridiculous amount of delicious food at my grandparents. Haley seemed to enjoy her first Christmas. Maybe I'll eventually post some pictures.
Now is the time to start looking forward. I believe January is probably my least favorite month of the year. So after Christmas is over, I am always feeling a little down to what is to come. But in the spirit of New Years, I am starting to think about my resolution. But first, some good ol' statistics.
I'm sure I will have a lot to add to my list. But those are my resolutions. Cheers to looking forward and being the best version of you possible!

But in the spirit of New Years, I am starting to think about my resolution. But first, some good ol' statistics.

So count me in. I am going to make my New Years Resolutions. Right here. Right now. I read somewhere, that the best chances on following through are to make them specific. Make them public. And give them a time frame. So here it goes:
Eat
- Exercise at least 5 days a week.
- Start planning meals a week at a time to help with my organization and grocery shopping.
- Eat balanced. Forget diets, I am so over that stuff. Just eat like I hope to teach my kidlet to eat. Moderation, moderation, moderation!
- Loose 15 lbs. by the time the new house is finished.
- Redefine my definition of a glass (4 oz.) of wine per day. Apparently a 16 oz. solo cup isn't the same.
Pray
- Attend church every Sunday until summer, then at-least 2 out of 4 Sundays (we often go out of town to the lake during the summer)
- Start attending Sunday school.
- Pray more
- Sit down and read the Bible on a regular basis (like daily!)
- Invite 1 person a month to church with me.
- Become a Christian role model. (Walk-the-walk and not just talk-the-talk)
- Give more of myself (both in service and in a monetary sense)
Love
- Be a better wife. Patience and kindness. Do more things each day to make him happy he is married to me.
- Be a better mom. Spend more time with all my focus on her instead of cleaning, cooking, etc. Not having the TV on when she's awake.
- Pick up the phone and CALL a friend once a month just to talk. I don't have a 'best friend' to gab to, but I do have the best friends to gab to. In every avenue in my life, I can think of at least one girl friend I could turn to. I need to make more of an effort to keep in touch! I struggle with maintaining relationships like I should.
- Talk less; listen more.
- Stop cussing, it is so damn tacky.
I'm sure I will have a lot to add to my list. But those are my resolutions. Cheers to looking forward and being the best version of you possible!
