Every time I go to add a new post, I press the wrong button and it tries to make me make a new blog altogether. Maybe it is a sign that I need to start, yet another blog. Ya right, I am hardly keeping up with my social media these days. Between Facebook, Twitter, this blog, my 20-Something-Bloggers networking! I'm ready to just come unplugged for awhile. Not from my blog though. I don't think I could ever really give up blogging altogether.
As my faithful followers know, I am blogging from the tanning salon today. I decided to work hard for my paycheck by actually cleaning today (more than the sweat from the beds). I vacuumed, mopped the bathrooms, folded towels, and dusted. That is some employee of the month type stuff right there. Speaking of cleaning sweat from the beds, it doesn't generally bother me until I am cleaning a bed after a dude has tanned. Maybe it is because dudes sweat more or what, but it really grosses me out. Who wants to cleanup some dude's butt sweat. Plus, I think most girls towel down the bed after they are done, because they are embarrassed about their own sweat and don't want a puddle there for someone else to clean up. Yuck,
So, not much new is going on. I drove by the house last night, and they are starting to make progress. All of the inside is stubbed in and the exterior walls are up. Next up is framing the roof. I am glad I pretty much drive by daily because they framed the front entry door for the wrong size door. The builder said it won't be anything to fix, but I am glad I caught it now. They are clearly not going to be finished by the end of March, so we are preparing ourselves to extend our lease and such.
What else. Big weekend in sports. It is probably best that I will be watching the game in private because I think my nerves will be at an all time high watching this game. I think this is going to be one heck of a fight between these two teams. If MU is on their "A" game, it is going to be tough. That is for sure. They have played an amazing season. I think KU has got what it takes to win, as long as they too bring their best game. I am way more confident about the next game at home. But the fact that they are playing away is going to be a challenge they will have to overcome, as good teams should. From the MU perspective, the fans really need a redemption after that highly embarrassing YouTube video has been circulating. The first time I saw it, I thought someone else was making fun of MU, then I realized it was actual MU peeps making it. I am not sure what they were thinking on that on. Satire or not...common. I'm just grateful they were rocking SEC shirts and not Big 12. We don't need that type of disgrace representing the Big "12". I love a good hearted rivalry.
Then there is the Super Bowl. I am generally underwhelmed by NFL football. But I look forward to hanging out with a cool group of people and letting the kiddos play. One of my girl friends has a boy only a week and a half younger than Haley. I love watching them play together and such.
Should be a pretty good weekend. I am eagerly awaiting the outcome.
A little about Haley. She is in a stage that I don't think I care for much. I love my kid, but dang she is fussy. The mornings aren't as bad, but the afternoon hits and she is just a mess. She hasn't been taking very good afternoon naps and just exhausts herself. Plus, when she gets tired, she can't sit still. She won't cuddle, she just wants to move around and fuss and fuss. Crawl around, and fuss. Be held..and fuss.
On the flip side, she is now able to munch on little baby snacks and other soft finger foods. That is pretty cool and she seems excited about her new skill. She is also really into mimicking words and sounds. We have fun with that. She loves the dog, and the dog loves her..well kinda. He tolerates her very well. She gets excited when she sees someone she recognizes and will now gesture towards them to be held.
So while, at times, this stage is frustrating and exhausting. It is also such a blast to watch her learn and develop.
Anyways, I hope everyone has had a fantastic week so far. I am thankful that it is Friday once again. Have a great weekend.
