Well, I did it. I quit the gym. It kinda went about like this.....
....okay maybe not--but they sure make you feel horrible when you cancel your membership.
I was spoiled. You see, the classes at the Bonner YMCA are way better than the classes at the Lenexa YMCA. I really really tried to be into it. It was just NOT the same. I missed the instructors. I missed my gym friends. However, I could hardly justify using up gas to go all the way into Bonner when I am within running distance of the other YMCA. So I did it. I quit. I'm justifying this in many ways. First, I really don't want Haley in their child watch during flu season. I know, I am turning into one of those "germ" freak moms. But child watch areas are like a petri dish full of nasty germs. Second, the classes aren't that great and don't work with my schedule. Third, I know me. In the dead of winter, when it's freezing cold out. I am totally not getting my butt out in the cold to go workout. And I won't drag my kid out in the cold either. Plus, no garage + a long walk to the car = my butt is staying inside and at home as much as possible.
So there it is. I am a quitter. I think my back account will appreciate the $80 a month I will get to keep for now. Eventually, we will join again. When we move back to the area. But for now.....
I'll be working out will Jillian. For $10.00, I will be getting ripped in 30 days. I have a lack of motivation when it comes to working out to DVDs. I tend to slack because no one is watching (except now Haley). Maybe I should set up a webcam and do it in my underwear and charge money to let perverts watch. It's a double bonus. I get in shape and make money. (I'm kidding!) I've had the DVD for three days now, and it still has the shrink wrap on. I am going to give it a valiant effort and see what happens. Thanks to a fellow blogger's idea, my husband and I are starting a little competition to see who can loose the highest percent of weight. Jillian and I got this in the bag.
On other news, we finally have a big dirt hole to call our own...it's crazy to finally have some progress.
...Oh and one last thing. Haley had her 6 month check up. Shots suck for obvious reasons. She is growing so fast. She is in the 75th percentile in both her height and weight. A little tall and a little chubby. Not sure where she gets that ; ) And it is looking like she is going to keep those baby blues! I really really hope so. If they are going to change at this point, they will start somewhere between 6 and 9 months. However, they can change even up to her 3rd birthday! I don't see any traces of brown yet, so if they do change, I am thinking just blue to hazel. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
